Ok, here's my question. I'm new at this so bear with me if I dont give all the information needed.
I'm trying to store my DVDs digitally so I'll have backups but also so I can serve them up to my Tivo On-Demand style. Currently I'm just using DVDShrink to rip the movies onto my PC. I then changing the extension to mpg and move them to my Mac which has the Tivo Desktop software that transfers the files to the Tivo.
On the surface is a really simple solution. However, after watching some of my video's this weekend, I realized that they skip occasionally (picture freezes, sound goes out, and then it jumps forward to a new scene). This is annoying the crap out of me and after having read non-stop for the past 3 days I'm just more confused than when I started.
