That's only possible be fully decoding the audio and then reencoding it. The only available DTS encoder for us consumers is Surcode, I believe, but it's not cheap (at all). If you don't own Surcode, I'd suggest either keeping the full 1.5mbit DTS track or reencoding it to 640kbit AC3. You can do that e.g. by using eac3to or BeHappy.

thank u very much for your answer... so now i have SurCode DVDpro DTS 1.0.2.1

SurCode is easy to use. Just specify the six 48kHz .wav files of your Surround mix. SurCode will create an endoded .wav, .cpt, or .dts file at either the 1.536mb/s or .768kb/s data rate

2 questions...

1. how can i make from my original 1.5mbit DTS 6 .wav files???

2. i don´t see any option in that program where i can change between 1.5 and 768.. can u help me with that?

You can use "eac3to source.dts destination.wavs" to decode a DTS file and split it into 6 WAV files. eac3to can also automate Surcode. So you can try doing "eac3to source.dts destination.dts -768". That might already do the trick. However, the Surcode version number you're listing is very old. Not sure if the automation works for that. If not, you can start Surcode manually. You can adjust the bitrate somewhere in the menu.

(448 kbps is the max bitrate is you are going to include it in a dvd.)

How do you automate SurCode DVD DTS Encoder?
Any example of a script to batch convert the 6 wav files to DTSWAV? Thanks.

Cheers
