I'm not a MAC fun either.
It uses different engine- the same as high-end Xtream version, so I assume there is an improvement with quality.
It's the best of Cinemacraft's engines which was up to now only available in CCE Xtream version (expensive one).
It has lots of optimizations if you compare it to CCE-SP or SP2.

They didn't work on it. They've already had it (in Xtream version from the beginning).
It shouldn't be a big problem to extend CCE for HD, but still no announcements.
They work on AVC (CC-HDe) encoder- this is their priority for now, I think.
