Hi. I have a problem with my Sony DVD Player (DVP-NS78HP). When I download some fil from internet in divx format it reads it very well and the picture is excelent.
The probles is that when the movie comes in 2 or more cd parts, I like to join all of them in a single avi file using VirtualDub, and after doing that, the DVD Player doesn´t recognize the file, and put a message on screen saying "Divx data error". The manaul of the player says that perhups when a film is a file made of many files, the player will not read it. But I am wondering what is the diference if after all, once joined, the file would have to be the same for the player as it would be always one file.
