A really stupid question

Movie running time: ~ 138 minutes
Original size for Movie alone (~ 4500MB-4600MB from the DVD9) - this included video data, audio of 448kbps DD5.1 (441MB) & i think 7 or 8 subtitles...

Is it MATHEMATICALLY POSSIBLE or POSSIBLE PERIOD, to use 7507 bitrate in CCE and then arrive in the end with a little over 5GB of movie .vobs (video, audio & the same 7 or 8 subtitles)....

because from MY calculations from CCE...or rather what CCE gives below...shouldn't VIDEO data be nearly 7GB by ITSELF? just need a confirmation please...thanks

or is there some other MAGICAL process that 7507 bitrate can be compressed into THAT SMALL of a DVD size (NTSC)? thanks...

No. You'll get 7410 MB of video alone for a 138 minute long movie using that bitrate.

You should probably be using KiB or MiB if using CCE as a bitrate calculator.

Where you getting 7507kbps from? From my calculations the original video has an average bit-rate of 4551kbps. Although CCE is very good at producing output at the desired average bit-rate there are some cases where it doesn't. It all depends on your source material. If the footage doesn't have the need for high bit-rates, CEE won't assign unnecessary bits. An example would be a horror movie that is mostly shot at night.

you can determine well enough beforehand,
using just cce even if you want.
