1.)Hi, i heard that it is better to resize in GKnot. I resize in Nandub and i resize to either 640x272,640x352... then i crop.. Am i doing this resizing the right way. Do i crop first then resize or vice versa?

2.)Secondly, I only use Nandub, not GKnot or any other program and i was wondering if any of you guys could give me some tips for great quality rips to fit on 1 cd. (Not like bitrate, thats obvious) Basically about the other settings in Nandub including filters. I have looked in dooms guide but have gotten other answers from other people. I want great quality like the group releases.

P.S. Please try to give me good settings I have been trying really hard to get this shit right.

Thanks!

1). crop 1st, resize next.
you want to remove any unneeded garbage and then resize your picture.

2) read guides, use gknot, read other threads on this board about filters :)

regarding filters: probably spatial smoother + temporal smoother combo will be one of the solutions for you. The setting depends on the movie so you'll have to make a few tests before final encoding if you don't want to make your movie blurry. Personally I try to stick to low values ( 2 to 5 )
