Bottom line, how to preserve the audio in a new dvd

I am either blind, but I cant see any guides to preserve the multichannel audio in a DivX rip. I am not concerned with an easy guides, I have been doing (s)vcd's for sometime, and really like the idea of getting the original audio! Wish (s)vcd's could do it! Pro logic isnt acceptable anymore!

So what decodes the new dolby shit that has more channels then 5.1?
