Hi
well I'm not one of the professional in this forum, but i think i can help you a bit
for progressive video sources, for example dvd, the quality depends on the codec, the container, filesize, your own impression of "what looks good", bitrate and the settings of the codec. for the settings you can use the profiles in megui. but i think you already know this
for other sources like interlaced material, mabye from tv recordings you can increase the quality with filters. (with the AviSynth script creator; you already have some filters installed like the "resize filter")
But for the frameserver AviSynth there are a lot of different filters (http://avisynth.org/mediawiki/Main_Page) for different problems depending on your source and the tricky part is to find the "best" filter for your video source. Of course for different sources you need different filters. For using filters you must copy them in the AviSynth plugin folder. Sometimes the "graphic surface" of megui in Avisynth settings is not enough, so you must wrote the script for yourself (the txt-editor is enough for scripting but you should rename your .txt files in .avs or you use http://avisynth.org/qwerpoi/AvsP_v2.0.2.zip) and and then open it with megui and choose the codec, container etc.
For very bad video sources (youtube) there are the denoise filters. But I've no experience in this.
I'm sorry for my bad english

Hi!
You must download RemoveGrain plugin (can be found here (http://www.avisynth.org/warpenterprises)) and put an appropriate .dll from zip file into AviSynth plugin directory (usually it's in the "C:\Program Files\AviSynth\plugins" folder if you didn't change the location during AviSynth installation).
