Hi,
Am using Vista Ultimate 64-bit edition. I have an AVI created with XVID and AC3 audio. I have installed the AC3Filter and FFDshow. When I play the file, audio works from the beginning and keeps working as long as I don't seek. As soon as I click on the blue bar to try to get anywhere into the movie, audio halts altogether.
I have tried the same movie with VLC player and MC12. Works fine in both, with seeking. So I will likely just use one of those two players, however it is bugging me that this doesn't work in WMP.
I have used GSpot to up the Filter Merit to ensure FFDShow audio decoders are used and I can see AC3Filter correctly comes up via the FFDshow icon during playback. Previously it was HCW AC3 but changing it did not change the behaviour. I have checked non-AC3 movies (MP3) and they seek just fine, it is only AC3 films which have this problem.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
R.
