Plays OK in Playa but not Media Player

Hi

I'm confused, I have a couple of DivX movies, in Playa they playback fine...but don't play in Media Player v8. Media Player opens the avi fine and i see the time incrementing but get no video or audio.

I have Divx412 codecs installed.

I have has similar problems before when I get audio, but no video. I assume I'm missing a codec. Any ideas anyone???

I have a similar problem, running WinXP Pro. I've given up on WMP 7 and higher, If you're using WinXP you still should have WMP 6.4. You'll find it here C:\Program Files\Windows Media Player\wmplayer2.exe Thats the player I use.
