H264 In Power Dvd 8

I have 4.5 GB 720p MKV file of a Movie and I want to enjoy it in PowerDVD 8 Ultra. Since PowerDVD does not support MKV so I have decided to put the Video(H264), Audio(AC3 640kbps), Subtitle(srt) into an AVI file and play in PowerDVD. So is there any way to do it?

If there is another way to solve my problem please suggest!

I have 4.5 GB 720p MKV file of a Movie Where did you get the MKV? You can just play the original DVD directly.

Strange reply indeed!!! If I had the original DVD I would have definitely played it in any DVD Media Player! I told I have the MKV file not any DVD! So any suggestion please?
