So here is my problem. I have a clip that I'm using for something at work (please note now this clip was created by a different group with in my company so it is not in any way shape or form violating any laws since we own it). The group that filmed it was over in europe and used a setup that recorded in H.264 at 1080p25 with a 384kbit AC3 5.1 sound track on it. I realize that I am going to have to re-encode the video so that it meets BD standards with the proper keyframes and everything which I have no problem doing but my question is can I retain the 25fps speed so that I don't have to start to hack around the audio and slow it down or w/e? Every time I've tried to bring it down to 24fps i get these weird pop's coming out of the speakers at random times (and they aren't in the original source) that just sound horrible. Also just for curiosity what are the valid size/speeds that standalone American players should be able to do out of the box?
The ultimate goal is to use my new LG BD burner and Scenarist to put this onto a BD so that we can go around and play it at different places. For the most part, my company has Sony standalone BD players where we need to do this. We don't want to have to change the player's region's or anything either...we just want to be able to pop it in, hit play and it go. The other thing it has to play on is the computer we are doing this on which has the new version of powerdvd 8 (ultra I think? which ever one does BD/HD) on it.
Thanks!
