Hi everyone i'm having a problem in preparing ac3 audio for a rip that i am doing.
well in my guide i followed the next instructions:
"Use DVD2AVI to create a reference AVI
Now that we have the vob files, we can load them up into DVD2AVI (homepage). You should check each of the VOB-IDs and see which ones you need. Look at the filenames of the vob files. The number after the V indicate a VOB-ID. Load up each VOB-ID set into DVD2AVI and look at the content. In our example, it ends up with:
VTS_03_V02C___0.vob
VTS_03_V02C___1.vob
VTS_03_V02C___2.vob
VTS_03_V04C__.vob
The V01 contained the publisher intro sequence so it was cut. This often also cotains FBI warnings and other items which can mess up video/audio sync. V03 contained english credits in alternate angle, which we've replaced with V04 which is the original Japanese credits.
Make note of which VOB-ID you've loaded, as you'll need this info when using VobSub filter.
Select Dolby Digital -> Demux to use original AC3 within AVI.
If you want to use MP3 or WMA, select Decode and turn on normalize. For WMA, you may want to turn on 48->44.1 Khz conversion. (otherwise, you'll need to do this in VirtualDub) You can keep 48khz for MP3.
Check to make sure Japanese audio track is being ripped. It's generally track 2, but some can be track 1 (Cowboy Bebop) or in Mononoke Hime's case track 4. You can check this using SmartRipper and most home DVD player sets.
Check other settings (such as iDTC). When set to go, do File -> Save Project. This will create a D2V and a WAV/AC3 file.
Prepare AC3 Audio
Using AC3 audio is the most high quality way of doing audio. You do not lose any quality over the DVD audio and even have multi-speaker surround sound if available.
However, since their bitrate ranges from 192kbps to 448kbps, it could be quite big. Most common bitrate on anime DVDs is 384kbps and that seems to be the standard used by most major anime publishers. Some small timers and older releases use 192kbps which is nice bitrate for use in this purpose. But with so much space available on DVD, why use 192kbps?
It's very easy to use AC3 in AVI. Grab AC3 pack from doom9.net. (or you can also get my MS MPEG4 pack which includes the AC3 DirectShow decoder and get VirtualDub-AC3 from download) Using VirtualDub-AC3 or Nandub, we can create a AC3 WAV file that normal VirtualDub can use similar to an MP3 file with RIFF header. Difference is that VirtualDub will not be able to decode or play it back, since it has no support for DirectShow. But it'll read and do Direct Stream Copy just fine.
Install the DirectShow AC3 decoder, and install VirtualDub-AC3 or Nandub.
Using the VirtualDub-AC3 or Nandub, load the AC3 file by doing Audio->Wav audio or Audio->AC3 Audio and selecting the AC3 file.
Do File -> Save Wav. (you'll need to have a video loaded to enable this menu item) You'll now have WAV file coded with AC3 which can be loaded into normal VirtualDub for direct stream copy. You can delete the original AC3 file now if desired."
When i am trying to prepare ac3 audio in nandub, i have the following error:

Someone can guess why?
Thanks
