I have a bunch of MPEG-2 files that I want to edit, trim, cut out scenes.
Most import is actually cutting out stuff.
What is are some good mpeg-2 editors?

Cuttermaran is what I have normally stuck with. It is free with donations accepted.

Also recommend the dgindex program from the dgmpgdec package by Donald Graft.

Mpeg2Schnitt.
I bought VideoReDo TV Suite (it's cheap) and have never been happier with a software purchase.
