Is determinism broken in r815 ? Here is a run of 5 tests :

x264 [info]: SSIM Mean Y:0.9593313
x264 [info]: kb/s:1785.7

x264 [info]: SSIM Mean Y:0.9593341
x264 [info]: kb/s:1785.8

x264 [info]: SSIM Mean Y:0.9593286
x264 [info]: kb/s:1785.2

x264 [info]: SSIM Mean Y:0.9593124
x264 [info]: kb/s:1785.6

x264 [info]: SSIM Mean Y:0.9593365
x264 [info]: kb/s:1785.6

Whereas I get this for 745 thru 808 :

x264 [info]: SSIM Mean Y:0.9593187
x264 [info]: kb/s:1784.6

NB : I dont use AQ.

What specific version broke? Because r809 shouldn't have even changed the binaries.

I tested most versions between 745 and 808 (the one that came before 807 re:git error) and now 815. All from bob0r's site.

Not the point. If both 745 and 808 work, then the ones in between don't matter. Otoh, if 808 works and 815 borks, then you haven't told me when it broke.

is all I have. I don't compile my own builds of each release.

akupenguin,

r818 seen & appreciated.

I measure a 9.5% speed improvement between r818 and r745, which I consider a milestone build as the last svn, and just before this fantastic run of updates. Great work !

thanks
