RipIt4Me Wizard Mode

Using Wizard Mode and having the program windows minimized, I forgot RipIt4Me/DVDD were not done and I took out the original DVD to put a cleaning Disk in the tray. I got the Warning...

I put the original disk back in but RI4Me no longer seems to be able to pick up where it left off. Do I have to start the rip over from the beginning or is there a way to get back to where it left off? (This takes a couple of hours because this device always rips at 1.0 speed.)

Have you checked your DMA? Hi, I just checked this drive by starting a test rip on a DVD in excellent physical condition and it still only reads at 1x speed.

From Google, I see DMA means Direct Memory Access.

But how do I check it, and what would I be looking for?

In the Device Manager (via the Control Panel>>System>>Hardware>>Device Manager), you simply have to remove the applicable IDE channel (Click on "IDE...Controllers") and let your computer reset it to DMA as follows:
Right click on the pertinent channel in Device Manager
Click on uninstall
Reboot
After rebooting go back to Device Manager and change the setting to "DMA if available"...

Hi,
I found one IDE channel was set to PIO. I uninstalled it and it's now DMA but DVDD is still only reading at 1x.

Also interestingly, it switched my 2 DVD Burners from H and F to F and H, (G is a virtual drive I think) which is actually better because the F is now on top of the H physically which seems more logical.

But the main thing is the drive doesn't seem to be reading any faster.

Are any of the secondary channels PIO?

No. All is now either DMA if available, Ultra DMA Mode 2 or Mode 5.

Is your drive riplocked? Maybe reinstall the firmware.
