Hey!

Here's some Debbie Harry for ya!!

For starters I'll have to say I don't know what these artefacts are called(noise, grain...), but I mean those on the red/orange flat surface(the wall) that isn't so flat after all when looked closer. How to minimize these that it would be as flat as can be and therefore easier for the x264 to handle? I get huge blockage with these areas and it isn't nice looking.

So suggestions for filters to use are what I'm after to get the early 80's painted wall look back :)

First thing you'll have to do is deinterlace (look closely at her lips) and then denoise. Here (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=136175) and here (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=136433) are some threads that might help you.
