Recent DVD ripping and converting to DivX/XviD guides?

I have a large number of dvd movies that I want to convert into DivX files. I have used DVD Decrypter, DVDFab HD Decrypter, and Auto GK. The problem is that randomly certain movies will have Audio Sync issues. I tried searching for help, I read that RipIt4Me could help, but that is apparantly now dead. My question is, are there any (nearly fool-proof) guides that you know of that guide can guide me through the ripping and converting process using the newest software and newest DVD protection? My search just turned up old guides that still said use DVD Decrypter but that won't work with new disks. Any help is much appreciated.

The steps I outlined there, plus anydvd hasnt failed me yet.

This sums up my entire rip/convert process:
fireup anydvd (to handle discs that dvddecrypter cant do)
rip mainmovie/full disc by cell-id in filemode
delete everything but the vob cells i want to keep (ie get rid of vobs that contain no data, or i dont want in the movie)
If I want subtitles, rename the vobs and ifo so vobsub can process them
index vobs with dgindex
open the d2v with staxrip or megui... or whatever your choice is
encode with your preferred settings!

I made a little script for my self that handles the first few steps including ripping, renaming vob cells, subtitle processing and d2v creation. It works nicely for me everytime :) (even for movies and anime that had awful audio sync issues when ripped any other way)

thanks a lot. My only question is... after the rip with anydvd is there any reason why AutoGK can't be used? (or is that where the audio issues come from, i heard somewhere that it is usually the rip itself that messes up the audio.) because I like to rip some dvds then have them get encoded while I sleep. But I'll give this a try. Thanks again.
If someone else has any other way that works well I'd love to read it. Also I should mention that I am only ripping movies right now, (maybe some tv series collections eventually) not anime or anything that requires subtitles, so many of the guides I have read seem geared toward those. Any responses are much appreciated.
