Haven't heard about it for a long time. Is it still in the pipeline? Or has it been dropped?

That's a very good question.
I would like to know too.

I'd say it might be wishful thinking:(
I say this because they don't even have 4.12 running stable enough on AMD CPUs yet. Hope they prove me wrong.

Ver. 4.12 works rock stable on my Athlon (overclocked 15 %).

Wery unlikely, since AMD prosessors allready support MMX and SSE MMX instructions.

I must desagree with ppera2. I used divx 4.11 for all my rippings, and all went well. But when i started using 4.12, i had 2 Vdub crashes. Since then i went back to 4.11 and no more crashes.
I am using AMD XP 1600+ with a VIA KT133A MSI board.

I also am waiting for a 3Dnow optimized version. I'm also waiting for a version that works in WinXP, till then I'm SOL as far as encoding goes.

Hi All,
I have a AMD 1.4 t-bird, and have had very little problems encoding using 4.12 (W2K).
The only time I had crashes was when the VOB's were ripped with errors. Once they were re-ripped, no prob.
