cant burn vcd

i cant figure out for the life of me why when i try to burn a 700mb avi file using nero to a vcd, it loads it on the disc as 950mb and wont fit for the burn. ive used different versions of file and different computers still having the same prob. anyone know what the hell is causing it to do this??

Hi!

1) What video and audio compression did you use when you created your original .AVI?

2) VCD uses MPEG1 video and audio (MPEG1-Layer 2) compression, which is undoubtedly a lesser compression than that which you used when you created the .AVI

3) VCDs are based on time, not filesize. A standard 700Mb CD should hold about 80 minutes of VCD video/audio
