I shrinked my DVD9 to a DVD5 with this thing and about 20 minutes into the film it just glitches for a bit, freezes, pixelates, and jumps around, then jumps back to some earlier scene of the film. Ejected the disc, went into the scene selection menu and just selected the chapter it happened. Won't play it, freezes on that spot..can't fast forward or rewind. Then I chose a chapter after the previous (where it glitched) and it played okay for a while, then the same thing happaned.

Any help?

Hi!

Sounds like you either have a physically damaged or poor quality burned disc, or your DVD player requires cleaning or replacement.

See if the same problem exists if you play the disc on another player.

What did you use to rip these files?

Then, as I earlier speculated, I'd suspect that you either have a physically damaged or poor quality burned disc, or your DVD burner requires cleaning or replacement...

BTW - What is the Title and Region of the your original, commercial DVD?

looks like it could be the dvd blanks, i've checked the blanks with DVD Identifier they're from CMC. Pieces of ****. I now have about 3 corrupted burned DVD's.

thanks, solves my problem.

The fact that the MID is "CMC" may indicate lower quality media, and may be one possible cause, but it's in no way PROOF that this is the root cause of your problem.

As I've said to you twice previously:

I'd suspect that you either have a physically damaged or poor quality burned disc, or your DVD burner requires cleaning or replacement...

BTW - What is the Title and Region of the your original, commercial DVD? - It may be a contributing factor to your problem.

**Additionally, it would be good if you'd now respond to the lingering questions in your other thread at:

did you not see my newest reply in that thread...

and yes it's the DVD blank. Every other DVD I throw at in my Player plays fine, these new CMC disks are enough PROOF for me. I already have about 5-6 badly burned blanks. ALL CMC. I've never had any problem with other blanks that I've bought. Mostly Verbatim, TDK. But this time I got "ativa" and they're ***. 50-60% of what I've burned since I bought this brand has been glitching in one way or another. If I burn the dvd as data, a few .avi files; then the files will either not play at all and skip to the next file in the dvd, or will play to a certain timeframe and will glitch with no possible way of fast forwarding (pressing fast forward results in dvd player going to the next file in the dvd disk)

so it IS the media.

did you not see my newest reply in that thread...Yes, I did - and I'd still appreciate you simply stating the Title and Region number of the specific DVD for which you posted the file directory details...

so it IS the media. Not until you've SUCCESSFULLY burned and played back a different brand/MID of media on the same system will you know for sure that the ONLY problem is your CMC media...

@setarip_old

Not until you've SUCCESSFULLY burned and played back a different brand/MID of media on the same system will you know for sure that the ONLY problem is your CMC media...However, more than likely it is. As most of us well know, CMC is some of the worst junk around. It's not worth arguing back and forth.

@digifruitella - go get some quality media again and perhaps report back if that is successful.
