GreedyHMA how do you use it???

I know this is a silly question but how do you setup and use GreedyHMA. I currently encode using Gknot and nandub w/ DVD2AVI so I never needed a frame server like avisynth (nut it's included in gknot???). Greedy is included with gknot but I have not figured a way to use it yet.

I may not need it as force film in DVD2AVI seems to work well but I have read though out here that greedy can be clearer, never knew force film was bluring it(???).

Any advise suggestions???

read manual that comes w/ greedyhma and read gknot forum. there are bunch of threads that talk about it.
especialy now that search function is enabled.

Yeah-in the Docs section of GKnot, there's one for GreedyHMA. To set it up, just open your .avs (created in GKnot) with notepad or something, and knock out the "#" by the GreedyHMA.dll, and again by GreedyHMA under the IVTC section. But read the readme for advice as to what settings to use for your particular situation.

If you want to try it as a replacement for Forced FILM in DVD2AVI, then you might try GreedyHMA(1,0,5,0,0,0,0,0)

Yes-often. The only time DVD2AVi in forced FILM is guaranteed to work is if the source is 100% Film. Although they say greater than 95%, that it's OK to use Forced FILM, I've found that not always to be the case. Not only might there be some interlaced frames left over, but it may be jerky in spots as well (thanks WS). But using Greedy with the forced film setting will slow things down a bit.
