playback after decryption?

Sucessfully ripped 300 to HD, but I can't get PowerDVD to play it? Which file do I select from the stream folder in BDMV? Also, is there a guide to backing up blueray discs? I only see the older guides for dvd9 backup? People appear to be using dvd shrink, but I can't get shrink to touch my ripped movie?

You need to select the largest .m2ts file, should be well over 20 gigs. PowerdDVD should play it although there are issues with 300. I havent worked with 300 in a while but as I recall the feature is only in once .m2ts file.

As far as backing up blu-ray goes, here the basic steps, for more details do some forum searching. FYI DVDShrink wont do anything for blu-rays, its only for standard DVDs.

Please note that these steps are only what I personally do, there are many other ways that maybe be more or less effective, depending on what your trying to do and what programs youre working with.

1. Rip disc with AnyDVD HD (use 6.4.0.0 or higher if possible for BD+ issues. I dont think 300 has BD+ but its a good idea to get the newest version on AnyDVD HD anyway)
2. Demux feature .m2ts(s) with TSMuxer to necessary elements. For me this is the video (VC-1 or h264/AVC) track and english audio track.
3. If audio track is NOT in AC3 format, convert audio with eac3to (there is alot of information on how to do this in forums).
4. Mux Video and (coverted) audio into .ts, .m2ts, or blu-ray format depending on what your trying to do.
5. For 300, I would mux to blu-ray (check "blu-ray" in TSmuxer), then create an image of that entire folder created by Tsmuxer with Imgburn.
6. watch the hell out of some awesome 1080p video.

FYI Imgburn and Tsmuxer are great freeware programs, AnyDVD HD is not freeware but it is well worth the money.
