Well i just taken a new internet plan - 512Kbps...

Now i just knw speedtest.net... and if i run a test on it i am getting reported 10424 kb/s- Download & the upload speed is 252kb/s.

So am i getting 10mb speed ???

I have ran the test over and over!

Any other reputed software where i can measure the speed ??

10424kbps / 1024 = 10.1 MBps
10424KB/s / 1024 * 8 = 81.4 MBps

Try http://www.speakeasy.net/speedtest/

This is the one my local ISP recommends. I have a 3.0Mbps/640kbps plan and the speed test just reported 2995k/639k.

10424kbps / 1024 = 10.1 MBps
10424KB/s / 1024 * 8 = 81.4 MBps

Just FYI, throughput and other bandwidth measurements are almost always measured in Base10, not Base2.

So 10424KBps = 10.424 MBps

KBps is different from kbps...
