I use Gordian Knot to convert DVDs into DIVX/AVI's to play on my computer. It took a while to get used to but everything looks and sounds (no audio gap) great and its a simple guide to follow. One particular DVD had a -112 audio gap. As I speak I am converting a DVD to VCD and I am tweaking the audio gap to match correctly. Will it be a guessing game everytime I do a rip?
I don't have a DVD stand alone player, but was wanting to see how they looked on a friend's player. I followed the Sefy's Classical Newbie Guide and following step (2) DVD2AVI it says there will be a wave file saved for step (3) TMPGEnc. All I get is an ac3 file and the only way I can get it to be a wave file is to open Nandub and save it as a wave file. Then from there its ok. Is something wrong with my program or when I open TMPGENc should there be a wave file. Maybe I will change the extension next time to a wave file.
