Xvid wont convert to vp6?

i am having some trouble converting Xvid to vp6 in squeeze, as a matater of fact squeeze crashed on all output codecs....

Does anyone know why and do i have to ocnvert to another codec and which one should i use?

Do you have a recent Xvid codec installed? What container is the input in?

If you really need an intermediate format, go with something lossless (HuffYUV, x264 lossless, Snow lossless, CorePNG, etc.) or M-JPEG, although you will lose some quality with the last one.
