Hi There...

I use my Media COmputer to view HD-Movies ( MKV / X264 ) from DVD-Drive ( 8,5 GB DL ). Im using MPC, ffdshow and AC3Filter SPDFI.. on some Movies the player got laggy.. The Audio is Playing but the Picture stand still.... after a few seconds MPC continue playing, but the Audio gets a little Async. So my question is: if i can setup the Buffertime in MPC or if there any Player that can handle the dvd drive better.

Thaks for help.

Hi!

If you copy the DVD contents to your harddrive and play from the harddrive, does the same problem occur?

Check to make sure that all drives are in "DMA" mode and NOT "PIO" mode...

Similar happened to me a while back. It actually ended up being a bad drive. everything else ran ok, but it couldn't keep up with a HD MKV stream without a large buffer, and even then it would eventually stutter again. If you have another one try it and see what happens.
