Hi.

I currently have an x264 encoded file in the mkv container.]

It is 4.41gb and 1280*528 res.

I am using a program called gotsent to recontain the video stream to mp4 from mkv and audio stream to stereo aac from 5 channel ac3.

However when i run the program to convert the file:

I cannot reconvert the whole file into one mp4 file

I cannot reconvert the whole file into 2 seperate (split) mp4 files

The porgram merley gives me a seperate video file and a seperate audio file.
Or the program crashes.

When I convert mkv files under 4gig, it works fine and i get an mp4 file with aac audio that plays on my pc and xbox 360.

I would like to be able to convert and split the mkv file into 2 mp4 files with aac audio, so that i can transfer them to my external Fat32 hard drive and watch them on my xbox360.

Does anybody know of software that can convert and split mkv files greater than 4gig to 2 seperate mp4 files?

thanks.

Try MP4Box with the Yamb gui.

If that doesn't do it, then MKVEXtractGUI definitely will. Should have thought of that first, sorry.

WRONG FORUM! This belongs in "New and alternative containers". *Don't re-post it, but a mod moving it would make things so much clearer*.
