upconvert sd to hd - request

Hello guys:helpful:

like the title above says, i wanna do that!

i tried the last 4 months everything!

TMPgenc,Megui-Avisynth Usage,pinnacle,windows media encoder,canopus,avid xpress,adobe premiere with instant hd and video enhance.

thats all good! they upconvert to the 720p resolution, but the qualy is the same , even badder!

Why? Why You need to have SD upscaled to the HD?

because i want music videos upconverted to hd.

many sources were from mhd ( Music High Definition ) via satellite, alright thats acceptable, but some music video were from dvd (dvdrip) source and they were encoded to hd.

i also saw the topic from didee with iip before and after pictures, that would be interesting ( anamorph used ) , but as i rightfully saw iip uses mpeg source only??

is iip avisynth compatible

but why? this make only sense when scaler (upscaler) in Your display is very poor...

Upscaled SD is only upscaled SD...

I think that this is not a good idea to make upscaled SD...
But if You must then try to use EEDI or similar algorithm for upscaling (NEDI, etc)

iis is a script for Avisynth - as a source any kind of video can be used.

the script that was use for the movies by didee, doesnt run on avisynth, the script from page 6 worked! but the script from page 7 didnt work , he doesnt know what iip means etc.!

hope you can help me for that

and the other:

what is eedi ? a tool? or something like that?
hope you can explain a little more of that.

An upconverter/resampler etc will never produce the same quality as a side by side SD and HD version of the same video (I hope that makes sense, its almost 5am Wednesday here so probably won't make as much sense as normal)! The reason for this is that the resampler can only work with the details present in the material being upconverted, it cannot add the finer details present in the HD version.

If upconverted correctly, the image may/should look better, however, the benefit of the increased picture quality isn't practical when considering the much needed increase in the video bitrate to maintain the same base quality level. In terms of bitrate, a lower resolution picture will look better if constrained too much when compared to the HD counterpart.
