Hi everyone,

I have the problem that I cannot test my authored Blu-rays properly. Sure, I can play the stream files with e.g. MPC, but I cannot play it like a normal DVD with all functions. I know that there are programs like PowerDVD or WinDVD, but I tried the trial versions and found out, playing Blu-rays requires a HDMI output, which my laptop doesn't have. I don't intend to watch the Blu-ray on my laptop, since it wouldn't play smoothely, but I only want to try them out for their functionality. Is there a tool out there, which allows me to play them without an up to date graphics card and CPU decoding only?

Hi,

yes, a Standalone Player. :)
Decoding needs up to date Equipment. Next Problem is playing your files from a harddrive with softwareplayers (they're not supporting harddrive-playback anymore).

For testing, playback speed doesn't matter. Hm, but I could create an image and mount it with e.g. Daemon Tools, would that solve the "files on harddrive" problem? Still I cannot play the Blu-ray... And I don't have a SA player yet.
