blu-ray profile question

Blu-ray specification(version 2.01 DRAFT3 December 2006) mentioned BD-ROM profile 1, 2 and even 3 player. But currently I can only see profile 1.0, 1.1 player on the market, and PS3(FW2.20) will be the first profile 2.0 player. My guess is profile 1 = profile 1.0, profile 2 = profile 1.1, profile 3 = profile 2.0.. Is it true? Could somebody kindly clarify this? Thanks in advance!

The BD spec (up to profile 3) has been complete for sometime. The issue are the players don't support the entire spec yet.

I think many folks tend to believe the BD isn't complete yet. Its the players in actuality that don't support the spec.

Correct. Also, Profile 3 is an audio only profile.

Most ppl complaint is that the players were put out too close to the completion of the spec. There will be enough disks with 1.1 features out there to annoy ppl with un-upgradeable 1.0 players. the 2.0 to 1.1/1.0 difference maybe not as much.
