hi everybody, so here is the the problem:

i've converted the AC3 track (which i get from smart ripper) to MP3 128kbps; 48khz using besweet.exe like:

BeSweet.exe -core( -input "D:\art\FRENCH.AC3" -output "D:\art\FRENCH.MP3" ) -azid( -c normal -g 6 -L -3 ) -boost( /b=5 /l=0.95 ) -lame( -b 32 -m j -h -c --abr 128 -B 320 )

1- what's the best solution: 128kbps or 192kbps? I think 192, but is it good with the place? (i rip the divx into 2cds)

2- how to make de bitrate constant with besweet? because, here i think its variable.

Now THE problem i've: in nandub, when i mux the files, (avi+mp3) the final avi, is not synchronised.
i've tryied many values in interleaving like: 500ms/500ms; 250/250; 500/1 but as I don't really know which value i must put, its not synchro.

Another idea I had: on the AC3 i've see: -112ms, so in delay audio track i've tryied -112, & the same values (500/500 etc....)

but its not good.
so if anyone could help me & give me the good values i need, because, i think i lost my time trying different values in nandub or avi info.exe.

thanx!

I think if you want 192kbps, you should just stick with the 192kbps Dolby Surround AC3. Saves a lot of time and you don't lose quality transcoding.

I agree with tangent, if your going to rip a 2CD flick then use the AC3 file and mux it with NanDub. Otherwise, use --alt-preset 140 or even 128 and that will give you a nice ABR file for using with a 1CD rip.

ok, the problem is that before i had tryied AC3 tracks, but after having muxed AC3+avi, I get no sound, had tryied install different filters etc..
And as nobody helped me to solve the problem, i tryied mp3 tracks, now i get the sound, but its not synchrone.
& you advice me to make AC3 sound.

don't use ac3, it messes up the entire purpose of using divx :-(

the mp3 file seems OK (when u play it) ???

plus the video is there ? then it's a synch problem (like u stated)

have you tried making another mp3 of the ac3 and muxing that to see how Nandug takes that ?

Nandub synchs on audio ...

trying to help , Tim

What are you talking about? You apparently don't have expereince in this area of encoding:confused:

Please don't discourage people from something that is proven to work very well for most of us. Just for the record it does NOT mess up the DivX process.

no, it doesn't mess up the process.
I sais it deletes the purpose of divx, didn't I ?

Divx is compression ;
so quality versus size

to make such a big audio file would seem stupid to me

Ok, if you say so. I'm not going to argue:D

BTW- AFAIK the AC3 standard is using compression also.

It will be even more stupid to convert a 192kbps AC3 to a 192kbps MP3 if that is what you are aiming for. You should only convert an AC3 to MP3 if you need a smaller filesize for audio.

It'll be cool if on day Ogg Vorbis becomes a DVD standard.. imagine there is no need to decode and reencode to a lower bitrate since Ogg Vorbis supports bitrate peeling.

By that logic, you should be flaming the original poster for even considering 192Kbps MP3 rather than picking on the fact someone suggested a 192Kbps AC3 track. You anti-AC3 folk make me laugh. :p

@Rhaegar Targaryen

I hear that! Anyone that discounts AC3 has obviously not used it in it's full capacity.
