View Full Version : 50 black frames added by Gknot?!

hi, I just encoded a doublesided DVD (The Rock) to DivX 4.12 with Gknot.

The problem is that the sound was totally sync in the first half and exactly 2 sec out of sync in the second half because Gknot 0.23 added 50 black frames, but why? :confused:

Well, I solved the problem by cutting them out manually, but I'm not quite happy with that way!

So what did I do wrong?

( I created a DVD2AVI project by opening all the vobs (from both sides of the DVD) and did the rest as usual!)

Thanx in advance..

I have no two sided disks to work woth here, but it sounds to me that gknot isn't adding anything. instead its just dvd2avi joining the second ac3 stream to the first, but the second side of the dvd was mastered with an audio delay.

First, I thought that too.
But I alrady checked that, there is no audio delay on the second side.

I encoded the two sides again separately:

1. Side ->95636 frames
2. Side ->94413 frames
---------------
sum ->190049 frames

but the first one with these black frames has: 190099 frames.;)

Yes, maybe you're right. It might be a DVD2AVI problem "joining" the vobs.
