Encoded m2ts ( H264 ) File get Async....

Hi there..

i have a little Problem.. I have encoded a m2ts ( h264) Source file with AviSynth ( dshow, 23.976 FPS ), CoreAVC to X264... The Audiostream is Demuxed ( DTS ) with TsMuxer from Smartlabs

After Encoding the Audio is Synced 5 mins.. and then there goes more Asyc... on the End of the Movie its up to 2 Secs Async.. does anybody knows whats up ?

Did you compare play-time of video and audio file before muxing?
I guess there will be some difference.

Did you use MeGui?

Hmm..

i open the m2ts file with TsMuxer and the Video Stream ( h264 ) have 23.976 Fps... MediaInfo also tell me 23.976...

On my AviSynth Script i use 24/1.001 and on the second test i use 23.976 but no changes. Codec is Core AVC 1.6.5


My encodet x264 Video have a duration from: 02:14:14

But when i play the Source m2ts File the duration is only 02:08:05

The Demuxed DTS Audio is 02:11:02 ( TsMuxer - Smartlabs )

And the Dmuxed DTS with Xport is also: 02:11:02

another Demuxed Audiostream ( AC3 ) have: 02:08:44

so.. whats up ? :D :D Now i test ffdshow for encoding to test if there any differences.

If the input wasn´t 1920*1088 i´d say it´s a blu-ray source and try encoding in true 24p....but this time...

So it has to be a DVB-S2 recording, right?
What program did you use to cut the original?

Please compare the times of the original recording. Probably you´ll have to cut the original file another time to get correct times.
My favorit program to do the job is h264tscutter, which does a clean conversion trp > ts.

My guess is that if you encode in 25fps you´ll get a correct result.
I haven´t heard of any tv station sending in 23,976fps/24fps.

After Encoding the Script with X264 its: 02:14:14

Is this a bug in AviSynth/x264 or a Error on the Codec ?

no.. its a BD Source..


Are you sure?
I've never seen any BD source which is 1088i 23.976.
If it is DVB-S2 h264 broadcast it must be 25fps.

Just what I said!

Blu-Ray is 1920x1080p:confused:.
1920x1088 is out of restrictions...while it is played as I see on my Samsung, when I author org. DVB-S2 streams to BD5.

The file is a Ripped BD-Disk ! whatever the Resolution is 1920x1080 or 1920x1088... The duration is Wrong ! And i dont have seen a BluRay disk witch running on 25 FPS.

propably dshowsource's fault, try using dgavcdec

Now i used FFdshow and: 23.9759856527702 FPS and it Works fine...

Think AviSynth have some Problems with the Framecount.
