Hi.
I have MKV file (let's call it A), with audio in AAC LC and video in x264. Video was encoded in x264 CLI (via MeGUI) with CQM.
I want append to this MKV in mkvmerge another one (let's call it B). I encode file B with indentical all x264 settings. Only one parametr I forget, is custom matrix used in A file (it was some months ago).
Now I can't propertly append B to A. Of course it's join, but there are artifacts and picture errors because of differencies in matricies.
I disabled audio streams while muxing, so I focus only on video appending problem.
So I encode B file with all matricies which I have, and try append to A. Ones give better results (but not 100% ok), other even worse. During appending those files mkvmerge always displays warning:
Warning: The track number 1 from the file 'I:\check4.mkv' can probably not be appended correctly to the track number 1 from the file 'I:\pre-001.mkv': The codec's private data does not match (lengths: 166 and 167). Please make sure that the resulting file plays correctly the whole time. The author of this program will probably not give support for playback issues with the resulting file.
Length 167 is for A file.
Length 166 is for B filse and is various (depends which one CQM I use). The result 166 is my the closest one (for MP4 Gyu's matrix: M4G HRM V2.cfg).
Is there any method to join these files, without knowing used CQM?
Can I ask for all matricies for avc? I've searched doom9 and find some (Sharktooth, MP4 Guy's, Prestige, xmen3), but I don't know if it's all. Eventually, I ask for all versions of mentioned matricies (maybe it was any older version).
BTW list of all matricies for AVC (created and known by Doom9 users) will be usefull for other users.
Thanks for your time.
