Advanced DivX Calculator Needed

I have been playing around with converting some BR and HD DVD to High Def DivX for fun...they look great. But I have wanted to get specific file sizes...the DivX calculator rarely works. The one on this webpage does ALWAYS as you can enter frame rate, other bitrates, and frame size:

Does anyone know of a similar calculator that has as many options but is standalone?

that calculator does not work for high def frame sizes...such as 1280x720, which I reduce original 1920x1280 from. it is for dvd size original.

you need to be able to enter frame size to get right bitrate....maybe I will try to save to disk

bitrate isn't a fuction of frame size.. just time/disk size :confused:

....larger frames=more info=more space so the more framesize you have the more space it takes up...I am aiming for size (see below), so I need a good bitrate calc. given frame size and disk space wanted.

the link I posted is the only calculator that I have come across (I have tried 5) that accurately predicts size with HD or BR files when convert to divx. The rest grossly misjudge the final sizes.....even the one that comes with DivX itself.

No sure what else to say....some are off by as much as 20%.

If you have 720X480 to start the calculators seem to predict file size fine. Move up to 1920X1080 resized to 1280*720 for divx and they are just way off.

I am aiming to fit HD movie as DivX on 1 DVD-R....I stream the stuff mostly, but in future standalone devices will be able to read past 2 gig.

The stuff looks better than I thought!!!!
