How can i convert my hdv 1440*1080 50i video to 720p avchd .m2ts with sharp picture ?

Hy !

I have several (9) tape with hdv videos.
I want it convert to make fail-safe backup to dvd.
I think one 4.3 GB dvd enough to 1 hour 720p avchd video.

What method bring to me good deinterlacing, good sharpening, good denoising, best quality render to 1280*720 24 or 25p video??

Please tell me, what program must download (free) or buy, and with what settings can i make it.
Interest me m2ts result or mkv (matroska) too.

i saw 2-3 movie, what is crystalclear crisp picture have with 720p, and 1.5 hours is 4.3 gb.

What i would suggest is not to make SW based deinterlacing or denoising but to make HA capable 720i x264 mkv or ts files if you have an appropriate HW.
Just resize to 1280*720 in aviscript and use this profile on megui; you will get 50 fps with Cyberlink's h264 decoder (7.3 or later) without any loss of quality: (i mean comparing with SW based re-encoding to p)

This 2 solution is interest, but i cannot set de-noise, sharpening, and maybe coloring feature.

The first one ripbot is very fast, the other method is more setting have, but not all.

You would never need these with HA method.

But my hdv source with low light is a littlebit noisy and blocky, i want to make it better...

And with your method i have a another problem too:
with moving screen i see blocky low bandwith distortions on faces. I raise bitrate to 8000 and later to 9000 but no result.

I've never seen better re-encodes than the original, sorry.
If you apply de-noise, you get blurry pictures; it is clear?
