Anytime I rip a DVD with any version of DVDFAB HD, I get error messages in DVD Rebuilder about missing stuff. If I use the normal DVDFAB, things are fine. Happened again last night with R1 Enchanted.
What am I doing wrong?
Thanks,
Zep

Hi!If I use the normal DVDFABWhat is the EXACT FULL name and version number of this "normal" program?

Not at that computer, but it was the last version of DVD FAB before they discontinued it and put "DVD FAB has been discontinued are replaced by HDDVDFAB" on the website. Will update later with the exact version number.

Then you are referring to "DVDFab Decrypter" - and not "DVDFab" (A MUCH older program that has no ripping capability).
There have been MANY postings in recent months, at this forum and others, indicating that various versions of DVDFabHD Decrypter generate "less-than-compliant" rips.
One solution, posted here and at other forums, is to run the DVDFabHD Decrypter ripped files through "FixVTS".
Another, perhaps more obvious, solution is to use a different ripping program ;>}

Now my college years' neural damage is starting to show. Yes, FixVTS! Forgot that one. I will try that one this evening.
I'm about to spring for AnyDVD, but don't like the fact that if you have it working, ImgBurn can't get a lock on the burner and sits there waiting. I have yet to exmine ImgBurn settings to see if I can tell it to ignore that and go ahead.
Thanks!

What does happen, however, is it generates verify errors, due to AnyDVD's on the fly decrypting algorithms. The solution is to turn AnyDVD off before a burn. You would only need it anyway when decrypting, right? So use it when you need it and don't have it running full time and eliminate ImgBurn conflicts.

Actually, I think they could mean DVDFab, setarip_old. When DVDFab Decrypter (freeware) added their quickly fleeting HD support they renamed the product to DVDFab HD Decrypter and on their website they said essentially what the OP is saying with the discontinued notice.
They should try updating to the latest release of DVDFab HD Decrypter and see if it helps if they wish to go that route.
I can't fault them for going the AnyDVD route, either, beacuse it's a great product.

@DrinkLieAndDie
Hi~!Actually, I think they could mean DVDFabNo - Because well before there was a "DVDFab Decrypter" (which caused all sorts of confusion because of the similarity in name to "DVD Decrypter"), there was (also freeware) a "DVDFab" (originally named "DVD Toolbox"), by Joerg Plenert.
You can still obtain this wonderful non-ripping program at:

True and people still confuse it but it's just somewhat funny that the website said what it said. Oh well. I'm an idiot. :p

Dear all,
I think the compatibility problem with DVD Rebuilder has been fixed, are you using the latest version?

Glad I came across this thread as I had the same problem with Dvd Rebuilder using files ripped with DvdFab HD. It only happened once when testing HC encoder v.22 - the latest one - for the first time so I thought it was that, especially as error reports were cropping up on the HC encoder forum.
Thanks fengtao for a great prog and for the fix:thanks:
