Or folks, which do you own and has been very stable for you?

I have the LG and I'm very happy with it. And of course there's my 100 HD DVDs it also plays. And.. find me another device that burns DVDs at normal speeds - today's burners go up to 20x, 12x is pretty darned slow in comparison. LG offers reasonable DVD and CD burning speeds along with BD playback (if you can spare a little more there's the GGW-H20L which adds BD burning at high speeds).

Along a similar line, any recommendations on a BD ROM?

I'm looking at these:

The Liteon is cheaper and isn't made by $ony but the reviews say it has issues with some disks. I went to the Liteon site and the driver was unavailable for download. I would hope that the $ony drive would work with all disks.

Also I will obviously be using this drive with AnyDVD. Does that fact nullify the outdated firmware issues with the LiteON drive?

I'm sorry, I don't mean to ask which is "best" or "better". I just want to make sure that if I get the LiteON drive that it will work with all BD titles. If the LiteON drive works properly I will certainly decide for my self which is "best". I think the original poster has similar intentions.
