Hi,
I have followed the guide on hd-dvd to bluray but not much success
I am converting Serenity hd-dvd which is 15gb so I am not encoding the DD+ audio as it will easily fit on a bluray dvd.
I did the following:
I ripped out the audio/video
used vc1conv to convert video as it is a vc1 video file
tsMuxeR seems to be the problem, when merging the audio and video together the file is unplayable on pc (using powerdvd or vlc),
if I then use TsRemux to create the bluray disc from the file that wont play on my pc and burn, on the ps3 it plays a couple of seconds at the normal speed but then slows down also there is no audio. On the pc (using powerdvd it plays the disc back fine)
I have tried lots of different combinations for testing and none made any difference.
no vc1conv + no TsRemux (fps change)
vc1conv + no TsRemux (fps change)
I have basically used every combination of either using or not using vc1conv or chaning the fps and the end result is always the same, works fine on the pc using powerdvd and plays really slowly on ps3 with no audio.
Maybe I need to encode the audio to get it working on the ps3, but i have no idea about the slow frames.
hopefully getting someone to test my conversion on a proper standalone bluray player to see if it is something to do with the ps3.
anyone got any idea what I am doing wrong?
Cheers
Nick
