Hi all.
I have created a BD image with DVDit Pro HD and with Scenarist HDMV. Is there a way to write this image to a DVD-R (its about 2gigs) and make it playback to PS3? Up to now i havent managed to do that. I am starting to believe that PS3 cannot playback BD Image from DVD-r. It can only read it as Data.
Thanx.

Take a look at Xolo's guide on this page. You may find it informative, but yes, you may have to deal with reduced features, meaning no menu and other eye candy.
Edit: Another thought is to try and burn the image using ImgBurn. You may have to play around with the settings so that it doesn't burn in data mode, but I don't know for sure. Maybe someone else can help you out here.

*On a DVD:
--PS3: Change index.bdmv and Movieobject.bdmv (in \BDMV and \BDMV\BACKUP\) for the Nero ones and burn BDMV folder on a DVD with UDF 2.5 format.

as the owner of BD-recorder I can say that if PS3 can't play disk on dvd-r then PS3 will not play the same content burned on BD-R(E).
and don't forget to burn disk as UDF 2.50.
kabanero (http://forum.doom9.org/member.php?u=16632) says that he gets working menus on dvd-r. http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?p=13065746#post13065746

Thank you all for your answers.
I finnaly managed to burn the output folder (BDMV & Certificate) to a TDK BD-R disc on a Sony VAIO laptop with Nero using 2.5UDF and it WORKED GREAT on the PS3!
Menus, submenus, 5.1AC3, Chapters, subtitles. It all worked great.
