I noticed that I had a problem today when I tried to load an mp4 in avisynth via directshowsource. The video displayed upside down, and there was no audio.
I watch my videos in media player classic, and they work fine. It uses haali media splitter, and ffdshow for both video and audio decoding.
I loaded an mp4 into graphedit, and noticed that it does not use haali or ffdshow in the graph. It simply pipes the video straight into "Video Renderer 0014" and the audio to Default DirectSound Device 0016. I don't know what it's using as a splitter, as rightclicking on the input file's node says the property page could not be displayed.
Ok, so I figured maybe some other splitter is trying to do my mp4 files. So I went in media player classic, and told it to block haali media splitter filter. I found about 5 or 6 references to various haali filters, and blocked them all. Media Player classic still continues to use haali to split the mp4 though.
I'm confused :|
