After completing a final copy of a movie; 737mb, 100 minutes I tried to get it on one cd, of which it would not due to the size. So I just decided to split the video in two, but I really don't want to burn 2 cds. Not because of price but for simplicity.

My question is: Can I further compress the audio, video or both to fit on 1 700mb CD after deleting all of the previous files which were produced during the copy process:

Ripping the DVD
DVD2AVI
Ac3toMp3
Cropping and resizing
Cropping and resizing: Part 2
Saving the Avisynth file
First pass
DivX 4 Log
Second pass
Audio/Video muxing
Autorun

Well if you still have the AC3 file you can downmix it again and re-encode at a lower bitrate, but 37MB is a lot to get rid off. It would be better to just re-encode the video at a lower bitrate. I'm only saying this as re-compressing a compressed source is a bad idea (i.e. 320kbps CBR MP3 -> 192kbps CBR MP3) as it is very noticable.

Or, if you haven't done already, cut off the end credits and you *might* just make it to 700MB (you might have to overburn a CD).

Thanks for the reply, I knew I shouldn't of deleted all of the files. Oh well I guess my Dad will have to get off the couch to change the DVD.
