I have virtual dub and I use to get a few DVI files in .avi format on my disk. Then with virtual dub I compress them with
xvid 2pass,pass 1 ...
wait... 10 min
xvid 2pass, pass 2...
wait .... 10min

...repeat 10 times!

How can I do this automatically? all files should have the same bitrate on xvid

Use Virtual Dubs Job Control to create a job cue.

So you dont have to wait between the encodes. You can prepare all your encoding jobs (save them to jobcontrol instead of saving them immediately), and finally run them as a batch.
