Gnash: A substitute for Win Shockwave under Xandros?

Hi, Myself an owner of an Asus EEE PC and, hence, a newbie to the realm of Xandros & Firefox, I wonder whether Gnash might serve as a substitute for the Windows world's shockwave player browser plug-in. Thx.
