Hi Guys

Can Any One Say Resolutions For DVDRips

Like 672x288 and 720x320

i want high resulutions than these

852x???

1024x????

1280x????

PLz help me Guys

Your question is very vague... What is your source DAR (display aspect ratio)? Is it 4:3 (standard) or 16:9 (widescreen) movie?
Is there anamorphic encoding used?
Just stick to MOD16 rule (both width and height pixel resolutions must be divisible by 16) and you should be fine with xvid encodes.

If the DVD is anamorphic, I keep it at 720x480 and set the DAR or SAR appropriately.

its 16:9 wide screen. i use megui to rip movies

the source resul is 720x480.

the problem is i want to make an upscaled rip, i want the resulutions for an upscaled rips

such as 1280x ???

and 1024x???

1280x720 example with minimum dar error;

Don't do this in avi as most players ignore it anyway.

Not exactly true - for example nearly every MediaTek-Player can use PAR-flag. I always set it when source is 16:9 and full PAL.

Don't do this in avi as most players ignore it anyway.If you're referring to hardware players.... I suggest you buy a player that does not ignore aspect ratio signalling!

Forgot to mention that fact --- Wizboy is right. Encode to mkv or mp4, so this is not a problem.
