Hi,

I have a strange phenomena by trying to encode the DVD "Ratatouille".

When I rip the VOB and show them - for example in WinDVD - the film is OK.

When I use the preview from GordianKnot with DivX, I get some green "pixel" at the bottom of the film each time the camera or some caracters is moving - please see attached file.

I already had this problem with the film "Das Parfum". Is is a new kind of protection?

Thanks,
Risotto

Hi!Is is a new kind of protection? The two titles you've mentioned have newer copy protection schemes (a different type for each).

1) What program, procedures, and settings did you use to rip each of them?

2) What is the Region number of each DVD?

Hi,

Both DVD are Region 2 (Europa).

For "Ratatouille" I used:
GordianKnot 0.35
DVD Decrypter 3.5.4.0
DGIndex 1.4.3
VirtualDubMod 1.5.10.2

Settings: please see attached file Ratatouille.zip

For "Das Parfum" I used - for several months:
GordianKnot 0.28.8
The other programs I don't remember.

Settings: please see attached file: Das_Parfum.zip

:thanks:

"Ratatouille" cannot be properly ripped using DVD Decrypter v.3.5.4 directly.

For both DVDs try re-ripping using the most recent version of any of the following:

DVD95CopyPro (commercial)
AnyDVD (commercial)
DVFabHD Decrypter (freeware)
