Cutting DivX4

Cut part of a DivX4 movie with VDUBMOD 1.5.10 and the output clip plays back with mostly a green screen and small blocks in VLC Player and WMP. Don't think I ever had this problem cutting any DivX version before. The original movie itself plays fine in VLC Player with great quality. Not sure why this is happening. Using FFDShow and also installed latest DivX version. I assume recent DivX version is backwards compatible.

1) Do you get the same problematic result if you use the standard VirtualDub to cut?

2) What software and settings did you use to create the original .AVI?

BTW - The FourCC is "DIVX"...
