I recorded an ASF stream from the web, with WMRecorder.
The colors are completely wrong. They also play wrong in the browserwindow. The installation of WMRecorder has proven to be the cause, if I deinstall it, the colors play correctly in the browser window. However, then I cannot save the stream.
It turns out that if I put hardware acceleration at 0 in my Catalyst drivers, the colors are OK. I tried several versions of the Catalyst drivers, but they give the same result. This does mean however that the recorded streams have the correct color information in them, they just play wrong. Since I need to hand these streams to elderly people who don't know how to handle this, I'll need to correct them so they play normally on any PC, hardware acceleration enabled or not.
Can anyone tell me what's wrong with these streams and how they can be corrected?
Thanks!
