Hi there; First Post Here. Hope this is a suitable place to post this.

I am capturing Mpeg-2 Streams with the ATI Raedon 64DDR VIVO. The only way I have found to convert them to DivX4 is using Graphedit and the I-Media Avi Renderer. The quality of the finished product is excellent. I am quite pleased. However, I would like to be able to crop some junk off the bottom of the signal before the original encoding to DivX. I can do it after, with VirtualDUB but that means recompressing the file, resulting in a reduction of quality. FlaskMpeg does not want to load the mpeg2 file. Does anyone know of a Directshow filter for graphedit which will allow me to crop the decompressed image, before the original encoding.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks;

I haven't tried it but Moonlight/Elecard offers a free cropper & resizer dshow filter. Try here. (http://www.moonlight.co.il/products/ir.shtml)

Thanks again Tom.

The filter works great. It does exactly what I need without any unnecessary processing of the image. If anyone else has a use for this kind of filter I would highly recommend it.
